Supergeek Pez!

Feb 5 2008

Superhero Pez

Here’s a fun game I started last year just to amuse myself. I’d really like you to amuse yourself too. Wait. That came out wrong. Erg! Just play the game ok?

Are You an Über-Geek?

NB. You must OWN the following items featuring the above Marvel-ous Superheroes (and one DC dude) in order to add points to your score.

+10 points for every DVD you own.

+15 points for every DVD you purchased even though you disliked the movie, but bought it anyways, because you are such a huge geek.

+5 points for every DVD you ripped.

+1 point for every Marvel or DC-Movie CD Soundtrack you own. (That’s all I can give you. Frankly, I’m embarrassed for you).

+5 points for every mint-condition comic book you own. (Comic book must be in protective plastic sleeve to count.)

-5 points for every Marvel/DC comic book you have left unprotected against the elements, i.e., moisture, dust, cat fur, and wind/rain/snow. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Bonus Points: +2.5 points if you also own “The Best of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” DVD box set.

Dance Crazy shop in Bury: Random and Absurd

I dare you to find a more random and absurd window display. I found this gem in a Dance Shop in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. Seriously. If you try to understand it you may hurt your brain, so just let the absurdity wash over you like marshmallow paint… huh? feels a bit sticky doesn’t it? Sure does.

Please note that I am experiencing severe form of “back-to-the-future” jet-lag and withdrawal of daily room service and Butterkist Toffee Popcorn. The only thing that calms my nerves is pirating tv shows for my new iPod. Arrrrr! Just started Dexter Season 1.

Famous British Landmarks: Slough & Reading.

Reading Slough sign

i felt mildly giddy whilst driving passed Slough and Reading. The driver of the car and the other passenger, however, did not share my giddy delight and would not stop calling it “a right sh*t hole”.

Don’t Choose Ferry Times!!!

Especially not on Friday nights. Why?

3 Sailing Wait.
A long row of automobiles just chillin’ on the Pat Bay highway for 3 hours. So anti-chill.

This guy almost tipped the scale back to chill momentarily.

A beacon of hope? Nope. Another 1.5 hour wait. So sweet.

anti Ferry Times (Vancity sign)

I am unimpressed by this and the increased summer fare. $65! Rubbish.

As I began to lose it a little and set-off look for an escape route out of the over-flow parking lot, I notice a beautiful rainbow glowing in the dark sky.

I feel inspired by this natural wonder and feel a calm washing over me. I watch the sunset behind the trees and take a picture of this lovely blue fence.

Ahh, isn’t this so lovely. Oh, feel a few drops of rain! Nothing this BC girl can’t handle. Oh wow, the rain is really coming down. Where is my car? Row 47 or 37 or crap… Torrential downpour… crap.

Finally get on 9pm ferry (which was late) and CBA to leave the car so stayed inside watching Extras Season 2 on DVD until Powerbook and Macbook batteries died… listened to ipods until batteries died… then started amusing myself with taking long exposure “ghosty” shots of me walking past a large semi.
