Chapter 1: Unsettling (Part 1)

Dec 30 2006

Today I am happy to present the first Chapter in my Photography Series: “Crooks and Crannies” entitled: Chapter 1: Unsettling (Part 1).

Introduction to “Unsettling”:

The holiday season is a busy time for ferry traffic. That’s why the good folks at BC Ferries have upped the number of ferries “in play” between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen. You know what that means. The addition of the oh-so-popular “in-between” ferries! After missing the 5 o’clock ferry, we were lucky enough to catch the 6 o’clock holiday “in between-er” ferry, the Queen of Vancouver. This deluxe edition ferry, built in 1962, has a super sweet arcade featuring at least 4 games (tons of fun), a sun deck (lovely in December), a bevy of tourism brochures (useful), and a roomy White Spot slop-n-drop restaurant sandwiched between rust and dirt (nice). Although it was quite a delightful ride across the Straight, I must say that I found a few things quite unsettling.

A lesson to be learned: Pine Sol and sewage don’t mix. I would think that it might add a refreshing scent.

Shouldn’t you be packing Miss NYC?!?

NB. A montage is not a rant.

Lisa, welsome to the world of blogging where people are chicken shits and comment anonymously when they disagree with something you lay down.
Its annoying but necessary on the pathway to blogging enlightenment.

Ps. I enjoyed the montage. Those ferries are fucking brutal. Perhaps if they hadn’t spent a bajillion dollars on those neato fast ferries, the Queen of Vancouver and those like it wouldn’t be such a pieces of shit.

    Bring it on anonymous.

Thanks for the boost o’ heatherness. As a blogging newbie, I must say I felt a twinge of anger towards ‘anonymous’ for marring my thought provoking ferries montage with said ignorance. Oh, sorry did I insult yo’ BC ferries workin’ mama? Loser.

Wahoo Heather! While bashing of bloggers is not ok, bashing the fast ferry fiasco of the NDP Decade of Destruction is ALWAYS A-OK!!!
