I’m going to Vidfest! Are you?

What’s Vidfest and why do we wanna go? Well, it’s only the Vancouver International Digital Festival, basically:

the event for the top creative minds working in digital media attracting visionaries from games, web 2,0, interactive dsign, animation and mobile apps.

Vidfest runs from May 21-24th. For a full schedule and program info hit up the Vidfest 2008 site. This will be an amazing networking opportunity if you’re in the new media scene or you like watching others network whilst you judge and ridicule them. Both entertain depending on your “priorities”.

Hope to see all my geeky Vancouver peeps there and some new peeps that are super awesome. If you don’t recognize me, I’ll be the socially inept loser in the corner video chatting on my MacBook Air. Dude, It’s like a window to my soul.

Hey Lisa, am I not awesome enough? Huh? Huh? ;)

I might show up on May 22nd or 23rd, depends on whether I can sneak in. I usually can get away with requesting a media pass, but not sure if this may be the case this time. May 21st, probably not. I’m going to Third Tuesday instead.

Indeed, Rebecca and I are on the same panel. And it will rock. If by ‘rock’, I mean ‘feature polite chat and possibly some insight’. Even if we have been, uh, shunted off to the ‘upper lobby’ at the Arts Club.

I’m hoping to score an interview with Chris Anderson for our book. But, really, what are the odds of that?

I would love to go to that. Vancouver has some pretty cool stuff for new media. Wish I was closer. Keep us posted – blog, Twitter, live streaming video?? :-)

It’s weird when I run into other bloggers that I know besides the ones at the Dot Com Pho Crew. It’s like the fabric of space/time ripping, opening up a doorway between reality and the interwebs. It was cool bumping into you at the Art Gallery. Have a great VidFest!
