Kitsilano Beach, Vancouver, BC, right before sunset. Taken with my Canon Xti (400D).
PS. Just watched “That Mitchell and Webb Look” and had to stop the DVD after one show because my stomach hurt so much from laughing. So ace.

March 2, 2008 at 10:29 PMNumberwang. What a great show!
I’ve never heard about it before, but the clips I saw where absolutely ok funny.
I guess the Americans will make an American version of it some day… We all know how that will end ;)

March 3, 2008 at 5:28 AMGreat shot. Very serene.
Randomly, I went to school with David Mitchell.
He was very much a ‘leading light’ in the illustrious debating society there.
Nothing like a good old debate of an evening, I say.

March 3, 2008 at 6:46 AMMitchell and Webb? I thought they were only big in England. They’re pretty funny guys. They do the MAC ads over in the UK.

March 3, 2008 at 8:50 AMHa! I told you about Mitchell and Webb in a comment to another post. Funny as hell aren’t they!? I watched series 1 and 2 of Peep Show the other night and I about made myself sick through laughing.

March 3, 2008 at 9:22 AMWhat month did you take that photo? All of Canada should be in a frozen tundra state this time of year.

March 3, 2008 at 10:50 PM@Jer — i love living in kits so close to the ocean. tis uber.
@Will — i enhanced the blacks a little, but that’s it. it just looked like that and i pressed the shutter.
@Dennis — 6… 7.5… 380, that’s a Numberwang! I laughed so hard I nearly snorted milk out of my nose.
@Duane — when’s the next Vancity photoblog walk? Lemme know.
@Rich — ooh! nice! what school was that? randomly, do you know if he used a PC?
@ComposeAnalysis — oh yes. BC is lovely? where are you? out east?
@Roland — my parents and entire family is British, so i’m mostly british. I was introduced to Peep Show on one of my trips to England. Love them. I actually prefer their Mac commercials to the american version.
@Dan — ha indeed! it was your comment that made me search out the Mitchell and Webb look. so thank you. i dunno how they do it, but they keep getting funnier. i can only watch one show per sitting due to stomach cramps from over laughing.
@Nate — I took the photo in February last year. No deep freeze were I live!
@xen & Christina – thanks!

March 4, 2008 at 1:48 AMPlease tell me you’ve watched the Green Clarinet sketch!? That is possibly the funniest thing that pair have ever done on televison.
It has to rank up there with the Dead Parrot sketch from Monty Python and the Lou and Andy at the public swimming pool sketch from Little Britain. All-time British classic comedy.

March 4, 2008 at 7:32 AMIt was a school in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Now I come to think of it, they had macs there…

March 6, 2008 at 9:49 AMWow that looks like an amazing place.
Yeh Mitchell and Webb are absolutely genius. The 2nd series is on now in the UK, and although it is good, i think the 1st series was better. I imagine clips are allready on youtube.
Touching cloth!

March 6, 2008 at 12:50 PM@Dan — You mean This Green Clarinet Sketch? Ridiculous. Sir Digby Chicken Caesar got the most laughs out of me. oh man they are funnnnny.
@Rich — Aha! I knew it!
@Paulo — Touch n’ Cloth, that’s funny right? I have the first series as well. It’s super weird and I love it.

March 7, 2008 at 4:50 PMI’m not sure if you have these kind of freak show documentries over there, but here in england they are far too common (they actually had one on once about siamese twins connected at the head?!). Here is a brilliant mitchell and webb take on them: http://youtube.com/watch?v=m9al-mpqXjc
