I’m Canadian, but I have two British parents. In my mind, this makes me mostly British, so I thought in honour of the Royal fever sweeping over the entire interwebs, I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures from my trip to London earlier this year where I visited many famous spots. :)

While I’m not too keen on watching the wedding itself, I’ll be really interested to see both the official wedding photos and all the unofficial photos of the celebration. If you happen to be in London town, make sure you get out and get some shots and share them with all of us!

April 28, 2011 at 11:43 PMHi Lisa, did you see Pogue’s video feature on camera apps, with Camera+ leading the pack? http://nyti.ms/lUYk9R

April 28, 2011 at 11:44 PMI’ll be in Trafalgar Square for the protests and demonstrations which aren’t allowed on the route of the wedding itself.
We’re being told that anyone protesting on the route is a criminal. The Police here have arrested people on trumped up charges as a kind of pre-emptive strike.
I think they have a “Pre-Crime” unit a la Minority Report…
Still, I think smoke bombs and riot police are a lot more photogenic than blancmange dresses and toffs…

April 29, 2011 at 1:41 AMGreat pictures! Did i miss something? Is there an easy way of combining effects in camera+? I’ve always wanted to do that and haven’t Found any (easy) way of doing it.

April 29, 2011 at 10:03 AMQuestion about the Camera+ photos using multiple effects: is there a way to do this other than saving, then re-importing the photos? That’s how I’ve been adding more than one filter to a photo, but if there’s a way to combine them, then I will probably wet myself in joy. I love the filters, just don’t love all the labor of saving and re-importin.

April 29, 2011 at 11:20 AM@Jason W.: I did! boosted us up the charts a lot. Thanks Pogue!!!!
@Paul Parkinson: lol. We had our fair share of protests during the Olympics in Vancouver. Although it was a bit scary being in the middle of it, the photographic potential kept me out shooting.
@Olof: @Gdub: Yes it’s easy peasy! When you are in Light box, tap the photo, then tap and hold save and a popup box will appear. Choose commit edits. Then you are able to layer another FX & scene mode. You can also do the same thing within the editing mode. Just tap and hold save. :)

May 8, 2011 at 4:52 PMAn excellent selection of photography of London. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the city twice and as a travel photographer I like it as it has many good sits to photograph.

Question about the effects: Do you have any recommendations when any of the Camera+ effects should be used in photos? For me personally, it just seems to be more “whatever catches my eye”. However, I don’t know if that was your intent with Camera+.
