September 26, 2007 at 2:57 AMSee, the fact you had to buy a Mac Pro caused you to have to put this giant box in the trash.
I build my computers from the ground up. I rarely – if ever – have maybe more than three small boxes (most of my parts I buy in little static-free baggies).

September 26, 2007 at 10:33 PM@mcclaud — i smell a PC somewhere in that comment. and i don’t like it. enough said. you are dead to me.
@mcpaige — why don’t you quit your job, then get a new one in the exact same place so you don’t have to move offices?
@Mark — super sweet post. and i didn’t actually throw the Mac Pro box away. after spending ever last penny on the down payment for the Pro, i had to use the box as a table. it’s actually quite sturdy and can double as a stool, bookshelf, and uber comfy. i actually curled up inside of it today and took a nap.
@hmillic — MMM with three “m”s.
@mcpaige — haha! totally. explosionz r sweet.
@Entropy — zut alors, j’ai perdu tout mon argent!!! mais si j’en avais, je serais sur le prochain avion.

September 27, 2007 at 7:22 PMYou really shouldn’t throw that box out for the price you payed. I’d totally make a fort out of it.

October 1, 2007 at 3:06 PM@mcclaud — you should prob spend more time protecting your precious PC from viruses, than worry about my uber sweeet clean OSX.
@kastor417 — biiiggg box. i will apprehend those non-paper thrower outers and give them a stern talking too.
@Nate — building fort with box, pillows, and a large blanket. totally inconspicuous in the middle of my livingroom. they will never find me noooow. ps. thanks. i shall print that comment and add it to my “pick me up, rejection is a part of life” wall that i turn to in times of insecurity and directly proceeding all modeling and acting auditions.
“rejection IS a part of life”
that’s quotable. fo sho.

April 2, 2008 at 1:44 AM[…] As I’ve mentioned before, I love Strobist super DIY photo guru, David Hobby. His blog, Strobist.com is a daily inspiration for me. When I got my first digital SLR, about a year and a half ago, I spent most of my time sculking about in the alleyways of my city, photographing “hidden treasures” that I’d find. This “derelict” phase stopped abruptly in July 2007, about 10 days into the 88 day Vancouver city garbage strike. […]
