iLife ’08 finally arrived from Apple!
I had to order it from Apple.ca, cuz the three faux Mac stores in Vancouver did not have iLife ’08 in stock. Totally anti-wikky boo-yah. We are so deprived up here in the snowy lands of the North.
FYI. Canada only has one Apple Store. And it’s in Laval, Quebec. Like that helps me out at all. According to Googly maps, it’s 4,909 km from my humble abode in Vancity to Canada’s Marché Pomme.
I like how Google totally avoided Canada. I know I’d rather drive twice as far just to avoid all the snow, moose, geese, and errant hockey pucks.
Alright. iLife ’08 DVD currently spinning in MB… and i just got to the sweet “hey la hey la hey la hey laa-aa” part in “The Bleeding Heart Show” by The New Pornographers and i am proceeding with a custom install (apparently iMovie ’08 is a little wack, so i am keeping iMovie ’06 on the down low just to keep my options open.)
Will take a peak at it tonight and tell you all aboot it tomorrow.

August 20, 2007 at 8:59 PM@range — i’m almost too funny for my own good.
@mel — always gotta one up me, don’t yah preppy lil american! hide behind your fingers… i can see you!
@rtd13 — iMovie ’08 is indeed absolute crappola, but iPhoto ’08 is totally worth it. and when you’re as cool as me and have Final Cut Pro, it’s not such a huge dilliyo.
FYI. windows are super important. in fact, i can hardly see outta mine.. do you offer a blogging celebrity discount?
rtd13
August 20, 2007 at 9:09 PMYes, Lisa, I can clean any computer with Windows installed upon it.
And Celeb Bloggers computer;s are usually more f—-d up than non-celeb-bloggers.
But you knew that already. :)
But, the discount is there for those that want one.

August 21, 2007 at 4:47 PMI know it’s no consolation, but if you ever want to come to Toronto, we have 3 apple stores there too. I can’t believe there are none in Vancouver. I guess you could road trip to Seattle, eh?

August 28, 2007 at 10:45 AMVancouver is so PC. …Hey, I just bought a new iMac. It’s all shiny and cool. I’m going to take a sledge hammer to my old PC. I might have a sledge-party or somethin’. Ahh, this is the iLife!

August 28, 2007 at 10:46 AMHey, that was me. I was so taken-over by the new Mac that I thought it would enter my info for me. Oh well, maybe with Leopard?

August 28, 2007 at 2:03 PM@anonymous — sledge hammerd. yes! now that’s an idea i could really get excited about. please take pictures and send them to me. that would make my YEAR! Oarsome!!!!
@Carey — see above. PC’s are good for two things: being sledge hammered and what was the other…. uhhh…. being thrown off a bridge? yeah that works.
