I’ll admit it. It took me some time to get to know Viddler. With so many video sharing platforms out there it’s hard to decide which one is best. I have been using Revver for the majority of my videos and Vimeo for a few odds n’ ends here and there, but recently I had a bad experience with the Revver wp-plugin. I had a total geek freakout. To put it lightly, the Revver wp-plugin was slowing my blog loading and my admin panal down considerably and has been for months, only I didn’t know it until yesterday. ARG! Fail Revver!
So after that tiff with Revver, I decided to give Viddler another go. And I’m so happy I did! Viddler has a really cool and interactive community that I’m excited to meet and friend. Oh and they also featured my Super Awesome G4 video! Go check it out on Viddler.
Hi5 Viddler. And a big Mostly Lisa welcome to all my new Viddler friends. So far I have 2. So, I’m pretty optimistic that I’ll have at least 2 more by the end of the week!
PS. Can I come to the Viddler Villa next year. I’ll even bring Junior Mints.

April 8, 2008 at 4:05 AMI just had a geek moment thinking about your G4 post… when I read G4, I was thinking about my iMac G4. She’s sexy, but not in the ‘touch my horns for $5.00’ Mostly Lisa kind of sexy. Nothing compares to that amount of sexy.
Apple’s are cool, but of course not as cool as the expensive cheese eating Lisa… mostly that is.
My favorite use for Apples… pie… mmmm pie!

April 8, 2008 at 7:13 AMLook at us go! The Canucks are taking over Viddler! Huzzah! Anywho, this is a pretty rockin’ blog. I’m diggin it, big time! To answer your “q”, we were just using our little Canon G7 for the video. Rob did a lot of research into compression and whatnot before we left, but he’s downstairs trying to make our new Mac Mini work for the TV, so he can’t tell me. But next time we’re going to get a cooler video cam, widescreen FTW!
And please let us know if you get a spot on Battlestar….that would be beyond awesome!!
Love and puppies,
Lauren :)

April 8, 2008 at 10:08 PMTotally unrelated, but you’re on on AIM and I can’t be bothered to email, so…
Shouldn’t the link to Nik’s site point at nikfletcher.com? Or is that a different Nik on twitter on your linked page? (surely not, what with that funky spelling and all…)
Oh yes, ta fer t’link. Much obliged.

April 9, 2008 at 3:06 AM@Pasquale — keep your eyes peeled. hophophop. THumP
@Sean — G4s are so longer sexy. my iBook G4 still looks pretty neat, but is slow like sap. slow sap-like things are definitely not as sexy as my horns.
@Lauren (&Rob) — Canadians are uber, especially super traveling Canadians. really enjoyed your videos form India. Thanks for the info. I think there’s a message from Rob in my inbox, so hopefully the compression mystery will be solved. thanks for dropping by!
@SarahMeyers — thanks for the http://pop17.com love! hopefully, I will be seeing you soon in person! can’t wait.
@Graham — i’ve corrected Nik’s link on my link love page and bumped you up a few spaces. After all, you were the first person in the UK to get an iPhone. feel smug. still no Canadian iPhone. PS Alton Towers, FTW!!!!!

April 10, 2008 at 10:23 AMAwesome! I’ve been a fan of Viddler since my Blip.tv blowout a little while ago. They’ve been really responsive regarding any questions or issues and the interface is just sliiiiick.
