March 16, 2007 at 10:27 AMThornton’s toffee (chocolate covered), but I don’t think British sweet shops in Canada normally carry them. I’ll settle for some Galaxy chocolate.

March 16, 2007 at 12:03 PMIt’s my favourite Canadian sweeties… Aww.
I like soap gummies as well, though I’m not sure if I made the taste connection before. I think my all time favourite is the “Flake” chocolate log… cigar? And my favourite way to eat it is with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yummm with three Ms. They made the best ice cream in Castletown on the Isle of Man where they served their ice cream cones with a choco flake in the middle of the scoop.

March 19, 2007 at 11:07 AMThonton’s. Definitely. For me it comes flavoured with the excitement of my brief visit to England a few years back, and the kindness of my sweetie’s relatives.
Oh oh – you’ve awakened the sweet tooth.
