Weird Weather.

Jun 29 2007

Dear fellow Vancouverites & West Coasters,

Does anyone else think that this weather we’ve been having is really weird??

It’s and sunny at the same time with misty rainbows in the sky…. or it’s rainy and windy and cold… or it’s rainy and really muggy and sticky…or it’s raining so much it actually hurts… ouch!!! or it’s rainy all day and then at exactly 6:30pm the sun comes out for a few hours…

That’s weird right?

PS. It’s supposed to be summer.

I’m Hungry. Let’s go to Sophie’s

Jun 22 2007

This rainy, grey day is making me move slowly like fiona in honey… heavy with mood… I need a nut burger and a large chocolate milkshake.

outside my apartment sweet sunset

I saw this sweet sunset outside my window when I was not watching the Nucks vs Ducks game cuz we don’t have cable among many reasons and ran out into the street in a tank top, tights, and wet hair… and my camera, of course. I was a little cold and people pointed and laughed at me, but it was worth it.

Plastic Grapes

Decadent, are they not?

Montana the Koala Bear helped me find these glowing gems outside the Thrift Shop. He says, “They’re perfect for all occasions and they’ll last forever.” He also warns us that they are not to be eaten and are definitely hazardous to small children, pets, or humans who are fooled by their likeness to real grapes. According to Montana, this happens quite frequently. Why just the other day, a woman, a small child and a small dog, all tried to eat one of the plastic grapes at the same time. Fortunately for them, Montana is trained in first aid.

I know they look real, but they’re not real.

I continue Chapter One: i heart trees in my i heart Mother Earth series with this photo I took two years ago with my second digital camera, the Canon G3. I found this lovely tree while hiking on a trail near the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver.
