As you can see my desktop is a nice black and white photo from the apple collection in Tiger. I too have had photos from iPhoto but decided to opt for one of the Apple photos recently.

Its hard to see from this image but I have the Windows Disk icon up there in the right hand side, as I have boot camped by mac with Windows XP.

I also like to keep a small dock at the bottom of the screen with favourite, most used programs in there.

    Most used application = Firefox
Favourite Program = Macromedia (Adobe) Studio 8

Nice Leopard but I’ll stick with Ubuntu and x64 Vista for now. Here’s a shot of mine if you feel like looking… I changed the background just for you =D. http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/6113/desktopgs4.jpg

@Mark — thanks for sharing your desktop. that is the smallest dock i’ve ever seen. you must have a biiiiiiig screen. some people make fun of me cuz i have my icons so big, but i love them. to me they are usually so beautifully designed. Works of art. Firefox by Hicks Design is my all-time favourite.

@Nate — it’s funny how personal someone’s desktop is. i really cleaned mine up before sharing it with the Beta News, as i usually have a looooad of docs and pictures spread all over my desktop. anyway, a few interesting things on your desktop. google earth? i had to stop myself from using google earth as i was becoming quite obsessed with looking at all the wonders of the world and all the places i used to live and the houses of people who made fun of me in high school… nothing bad. just wanted to drop by, say hello. i finally got CS3 (thanks Tom) so i don’t have to be jealous anymore!

@Dennis — no prob. that’s what i’m all about. caring and sharing and populating the internet with photos of myself. it’s selfless really.

I like to keep a small dock. I always find myself clicking on things I don’t want to otherwise. Problem is that the smaller you go then then the easier it is to click the wrong icon!

As for my screen it is only 17 inch. I really want to upgrade my iMac to a newer one at 20inch but cash flow won’t allow :)
