With out further ado, (as I think I’ve ado’d for a bit too long on this one), here are my top 8 picks of the very first Mostly Lisa Photography Contest. There were so many amazing photographs, but I had to pick the photos that best represented the theme “Summertime”. And here they are:

its pretty tough, but i think i would have to pick the fireworks over downtown san diego as my favorite. Its pretty tough they are all great images. For me I would say carnivale comes in a very close second, but those are just my thoughts

wow. Tough to decide. I have to say the fireworks over downtown San Diego is probably my favorite and then next would be Carnivale and then Surfer then Sunset. I like Fireworks and Carnivale for the level of difficulty because I’ve taken photos like those and can appreciate the shutter speed and intensity of trying to capture those shots. Shots like that are carefully crafted, I feel.

What a visualization of a oxymoron: a happy vital picture in colors and composition that tell the opposite story. The frozen running, and the dramatic telling of what i can only guess is a quite safe activity.
