Geeky Stuff

[UnDigg] Omg. I had so much fun at SxSW.

Oh boy, the Vectorama contest heating up. I must say it’s the most inspirational fun time i’ve had in some time. I’ve got a sweet Viking themed video to announce the winner tomorrow. I’m just gonna give you peeps a little more time to break some of the ties. Remember to vote if you haven’t.

In other news, I did not go to SxSW. I stayed at home and had a private dance party with my iTunes hallucinogenic visualizer and then ate the remainder of my M&S biscuits that I brought back from the UK. So, obviously I did not have an awesome time at the Bigg Digg Shindig with Kevin Rose. I thought since I was one of his 12653 pownce fans, we had some kind of special connection. I guess he thought otherwise.

Oh whoops, I think I just accidentally delete this week’s diggnation podcast. Oops. I’m not bitter or anything. That’s a lie. I am bitter and spiteful and jealous of all their fun stories, networking ops, uber parties, and schwag. Why don’t you just cut down more trees and displace entire colonies of squirrels to make more SxSW schwag?

Best not to leave on such a bitter note. Point taken. According to lastfm, I’m really digging Andrew Bird this week. His music is ace. Check him out.

I’m with you! For the past few days Twitter has just been people saying how sweet SXSW was.

At least you live on the same land mass… I have this thing called Atlantic sitting between me and the festivities. Stupid Atlantic.

Well, I can send you the schwag if you want — most of it wasn’t that cool. Apparently the Google party had Google Rubik’s cubes, which OK, way cool – but SO not worth that insane line (we ended up creating our own way cooler party at this bar that had been completely empty — I think the guy was kind of pissed at first when 30 people came in, but 4 hours later when we we were having to turn people away, he was in love with us and thanked us for the business by giving us super cheap or super free drinks with top shelf liquor).

Seriously though, most of it was magazines — a few stickers and t-shirts far too big for girls (Facebook did get a win in this area — they had small girl sizes — so I have one in both black and white — pick a color and I’ll send one to you).
