Video Tour of Leo Laporte’s TWiT Cottage

When I was in SF for WWDC in June, I made the trek up to the TWiT Cottage in Petaluma to film an episode of MacBreak Weekly entitled “Harry Potter”. I always find the cottage such a cool place, so I thought I’d make a brief behind-the-scenes tour to share with you.

Special appearances by Leo Laporte, Andy Ihnatko, a camera shy Don McAllister, Alex Lindsay, Sarah Lane, Tom Merrit, super-edit Tony.

Thanks to Andy Inhatko for jumping in as camera man. :)

Next time you are there you need to get Leo to do a version of the tour MTV Cribs style.

thanks for the tour; I had though that the TWiT cottage was an annex of Leo’s home, which doesn’t seem to be the case.

Thanks for the tour. It’s such an odd space for a studio I always wondered what the whole thing looked like.

Was it just me or was the audio brutally out of sync?

    Wow – AWESOME job Lisa…..

I too challenge my fears this summer with a 1000′ ZIP line at Eco Adventure in Blue Mountain, Collingwood. It was so exhilarating…..

Loved your bungy jump….. next year I plan on challenging myself to that as well.

    Thanks for sharing

Very impressive, I have to hand it to Leo for being able to run a worldwide media network from that space. Is the cottage separate from his house? I thought he had the basement or an attachment to his house.

Thanks for the video! Was this shot on the iPhone 4? I can’t listen to the sound at work so not sure if this was mentioned…

I always assumed that Leo becomes this reclusive old man when his guests leave the TWIT cottage. :D

Heh. I was just there on monday, zipping through enroute from SF to Rohnert Park to shoot two days of my Learning Perl class for a video. Got to finally meet John, who head-ends my FLOSS Weekly show (never seen his face), and Tony.
