I forgot how cool Vancouver airport is. Its really funky…i got a little drunk at that tiki chicken type restaurant place once which was cool.
I hated the arrival customs place you showed in the last one with all the trolleys. I got grilled by the customs guy. I was there for a wedding and he kept asking where it was (Tofino but i couldn’t remember that) and who was getting married and what type of car i had rented. IM NOT A CRIMINAL…HONEST!
@Chris — YVR is totally funky and fun. Such a nicely designed airport. i got grilled at customs last time at Gatwick. they asked me loads of questions about where i was going and why. and i was partially still asleep and deaf in one ear.
uhhh alton towers?
why you going there?
rides.
rides?
what do you mean?
like rollercoasters and…
is that a business trip?
no just fun.
how are you getting there?
i guess by train and car.
who is driving the car?
i’m not sure.
do you have an address of the driver of the car.
no.
on and on it went while i slowly started to cry boooooo.
@mcpaige — i was actually contemplating wearing the glove over my nose like a beak. just to amuse myself. it was 3 hours. does that make me strange?
@LB – I cant wait til i try and get through customs to stay for a year. Im fully expecting a strip search and questioning under a Jack Bauer conditions.
