Vancouver found itself in a lovely and welcomed heat wave of 30C degreez this weekend. It felt especially sweet after the crazy hail and snow storms we had during the coldest spring in 35 years.
I headed down to Kits beach with a camera bag full of goofy animals which I released into the Canadian wilds.
Oh! Who are these fine fellows in my camera bag? Let’s see how they go.
Looks like this giraffe found a great view of downtown Vancouver and some foliage to snack on. He’s fitting in quite nicely.
Looks like somebear got a makeover! Faboo!
Perfect spot for this snobby llama.
He demanded a treat before heading off to his final spot.
I think he’ll do well in advertising, though I’m not sure he’s the most trustworthy moose.
I know it’s dangerous business introducing foreign species into an ecosystem. Let’s hope they don’t run amuck and start chomping on things they shouldn’t. Canada’s got plenty of maple syrup anyway.
I challenge you to install your own silly characters around your city. If you can’t draw your own, here are some awesome character templates that you can just download, print, cut out, and install! Sounds like fun!

Thank you for releasing those creatures into their natural environments. Heavens knows we have enough cooped up animals anyway. You get three gold stars.

Well… what can I say (with my poor little french boy’s english ^^).
I’ve just discovered your blog and with it, the concept of “sexy geek” (which is, believe me, totally paradoxal seeing the geeks faces we’re used to see).
So… let’s resume, you’re beautiful, you’re a geek, you’re a photographer, a model, and what else ? No… perfection can’t be ^^.
Well, as we said, “ravi de t’avoir rencontré”

Hilarious! Yeah, I think the giraffe is the best. Doesn’t the foliage look like asparagus? Too funny!

Maple syrup is so expensive in the UK it’s obscene. A 250ml bottle will set you back between £3-£6!! How come all the best stuff is always the most expensive… *sigh*
