I've started getting paid for photography as well, and it's very cool. Although, to be honest, I don't think I'd want to do it full time, because then it might not be fun anymore. I shot the Vancouver Fashion Week last month or whatever and I found it sort of boring to be honest. Most of the models clearly weren't into it, and it was almost a chore to try and get them to pose. I picked up the Canon 40D 3 months ago and I love it! Plus an iPod touch. And my new iMac. And my Macbook Pro. Yes, it's been an expensive tech year, but I'm loving it. And the 50mm f/1.4 rocks (I have one too!) We go on lots of photo walks downtown -- I just organized one last week on the beach where about 20 internet ppl showed up. You should come out to the next one! Oooh.. I missed this post! I’ve started getting paid for photography as well, and it’s very cool. I would have to say im lacking quite a bit in this world these days. I know you wouldnt like to hear it but I have a HP laptop, im surprised it has lived as long as it has. Broken digital camera and a very old FM/AM alarm clock. But what I would do to have a Canon HV20 camera.... your a lucky girl! That is some nice fancy dancy equip!

Not a gadget perse, but I've put too much money into it (it makes me physically ill to contemplate) not to mention. * My high-end Denon receiver that is absolutely overpowered for my needs but that my friend at Denon got me for under cost. That and I like to annoy the upstairs neighbors when their dog goes nuts by blasting Nine Inch Nails.
